The decentralized computing platform Ethereum Classic (ETC), according to Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, is , and “its sole objective is for the insiders to pull the plug on those they recruit with the blind optimism of some amazing future that will never come.”
Hoskinson, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, bashed the platform’s lack of a plan of action or vision in his Twitter rant against ETC.
Hoskinson’s appeared to be in reaction to Bob Summerwill, the executive director of ETC Cooperative.
Summerwill appeared to take offense at two Twitter users for mentioning or asking if the programmable blockchain Ergo would be represented at the upcoming Proof of Work (POW) Summit in a tweet on May 18.

Summerwill went on to criticize Ergo Foundation for abandoning “their own 60K follower account to squat on stolen goods from Charles.”
According to the company’s website, Ergo is “a next-generation PoW smart-contract contract platform that allows for new models of financial interaction.”
According to the company, the platform is supported by “a safe and rich scripting language and adaptable and powerful Zero-Knowledge proofs (-protocols).”
In follow-up tweets, the ETC Cooperative executive director reiterated his belief that Hoskinson not only gave Ergo stolen property but was also involved in harming the ETC community.
Nevertheless, in his reply to Summerwill’s slurs, Hoskinson attempted to bring the attention of Twitter users to what Ergo has accomplished and how this exemplifies what ETC should have been doing over the years.
“ETC is now a scam whose sole purpose is for insiders to dump on those they recruit in the hope of some magical future that will never come.”

There is no roadmap, no innovation, no team, and no vision. It’s only rage and toxicity. Years of hard work and marketing at IOG resulted in the creation of the Twitter account. It was unethical to subject those followers to a project that is now a scam.
While some Ergo and Hoskinson Twitter followers have bemoaned Ergo’s absence from the event, which will take place from September 25 to 27, an official website for the summit shows that the crypto industry’s biggest shots will still attend the meeting.
Among those expected to speak at the summit are Charlie Shrem, Jameson Lopp, Charlie Lee, the founder of Litecoin, and Caitlin Long of Custodia Bank.
